A nature-friendly resort built by His Highness Late Maharaja Ganga Singhji,
Gajner Palace is a desert bloom with copious wooded fringes that attract
innumerable species of migratory birds (including the imperial sand grouse)
every winter. Endangered species like black bucks, nilgai and chinkaras
share these woods with the more commonly spotted deer, antelope and wild boar.
During
the reign of Maharaja Ganga Singhji, Gajner Palace was used by him for grand
shoots and lavish entertainment. Christmas season was often celebrated
with prearranged duck and Imperial Sand Grouse shoots at Gajner Palace. Royalty, both, National
and International, Visceroys and other dignitaries were invited on this
grand occasion at Gajner Palace.
This palace hotel itself has 11 luxury suites and 33 well-appointed rooms. Authentic game recipes have been adapted to offer guests a taste of exotic shikari cuisine.
